I was the lead 3D artist on Coke: International Space Station. I developed a zero gravity fluid simulation setup. To create realistic fluid I studied videos from NASA detailing astronaut’s experiments with water in zero gravity. Surface tension is an incredibly powerful force without gravity. I also set up the lighting and rendering for this show. Various test were done in Maya / Mental Ray, Arnold and Mantra. I decided to render the coke with Mantra for the final images.
